How your order gets from our workshop in Benoni to your door.

Where we deliver
We deliver anywhere in South Africa by courier. Because a courier has to hand the parcel to a person, we cannot deliver to a post box. Give us a street address where somebody is around during the day, a work address is often the easiest.
If you are outside South Africa, send us a message before you order and we will tell you whether we can get it to you and what it would cost.
What delivery costs
Your delivery charge is worked out at checkout from the address you enter, and it is shown to you before you pay. There is never a delivery charge added afterwards.
When your order leaves us
Every piece is cut, folded and welded in our own workshop, so we do not always have all nine pieces sitting on a shelf. If something you have ordered is not ready to go, we will email you with a date before we do anything else, and you are free to cancel at that point for a full refund.
Orders placed over a weekend or on a public holiday are picked up the next working day.
Following your parcel
As soon as your order is collected by the courier we will email you the tracking details. If a few days go by and nothing has moved, tell us and we will chase it from our side.
Somebody has to sign for it
The courier will not leave your order unattended at a gate or with a neighbour unless you have arranged that with them directly. If nobody is there, they will normally try again the next working day.
If the address is wrong
Please check your address carefully before you pay. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we will happily send it again, but the second delivery charge is for your account.
If it arrives damaged
Open your parcel as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged or missing, email orders@spitalles.co.za within seven days with your order number and a few photographs, including one of the outer packaging. We will sort it out. See our returns page for how that works.
Collecting instead
If you would rather fetch your order from the workshop in Benoni than pay for a courier, contact us before you place your order and we will arrange a time with you.

Phone us and ask. You will get one of the people who actually builds these, not a call centre.
